ExPEDite Design View Progress: Enhancing Urban Planning with Unreal Engine
February 14, 2025The ExPEDite project is proud to announce its integration into the Smart Cities Marketplace hosted by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Energy (DG Energy). This marketplace serves as a dynamic hub, bringing together a diverse range of European smart city projects focused on sustainability and green urban initiatives. It is an space where forward-thinking projects that aim to improve energy efficiency, mobility, and information and communication technology (ICT) converge.
The Smart Cities Marketplace features a collection of innovative European initiatives that are actively implementing cutting-edge solutions across demonstration sites in cities throughout Europe. These projects—backed by European funding—aim to address key urban challenges, particularly in the realms of energy, mobility, and ICT. By fostering collaboration between cities, industry, and citizens, these projects are working to showcase scalable and replicable solutions that drive measurable improvements in energy efficiency, resource conservation, new market development, and job creation.
At its core, the Smart Cities Marketplace is designed to accelerate the transition to more sustainable urban environments. Through its collaborative framework, the marketplace is helping to identify and amplify business models and innovations that have the potential to transform cities into more sustainable, efficient, and livable spaces.
By being part of this vibrant ecosystem, the ExPEDite project contributes to a broader movement toward creating smarter, greener cities that can serve as models for urban development across Europe and beyond.
